I am up late and was thinking of last year when we took "Roo" our KJ out last year camping.... we put a few things on the roof including the coolers, bad idea....scratched the top pretty good. This year we have a new Coleman Safari Rack, but I am also thinking of having the top sprayed by LineX? Anyone else had this done?

Thanks!

Griz

I sprayed my roof with Morton's spray-on bedliner, cheaper then Line-X and works great for what I need.It has UV protection and looks great even after 5 years.

A old pic.......

Nope,if any it stay's cooler since the bedliner is way thicker then paint. But my KJ was originally painted all black to begin with.

Never saw a roof with the bedliner spray; good idea! Looks like it came out pretty well too!

I don't know what the price is or even how well it competes with Line-X or Rhino Liner. But i found a company called Scorpion,, they custom match colors which help to personalize you Baby :D  8)

The stuff I use,Mortan bedliner, has a tintable version also, just need 2oz of single stage paint to mixe per qt of bedliner(most colors are available in single stage paint).

I have been so tempted to do this since I like to camp with my family. I have the Mopar crossbars but some of the stuff that I want to carry up there is too short if I carry long items also. There are a lot of places here that do the spraying at very reasonable prices. I had my Dakota (the Jeep replaced it) bed done for under $250 and it came out great. Hopefully, this summer I will be able to afford to start paying for mods that I can't do myself, including lining the roof.
