Working on fabbing up my own set of side sliders and wondering if there is a drawback to  welding to the frame as opposed to drilling and bolting other than the fact that removal for repair would be a lot harder ..

Also to the pinch weld ...weld it there too

I know not too much heat:twisted: in one place and watch for warping but if you took the time and did this is there really a disadvantage ..... :?: :?: :?:

Somebody at somepoint had to have had a POS truck that they just said ":-)r :-)r F@&# IT:-)r :-)r " in a drucken stooper and done this ....... :?: :?: :?:

so what are the pros and cons to this installation

thankyou all for your time and input

The shop formerly known as Carolina Rock Shop had fabbed up some awesome rails and had the option of bolt or or welded on when they installed them.

why not just make them bolt on? there is just not a good reason to weld them on really.

The fact that if you bend them then it will be a real fun job cutting them off.
