OK so I'm ALMOST done with this project...finally...

It'll be ready to rock and roll for Moab on Sunday...

So I built my new turn signal assemblies.... pretty easy and they use the factory bulb and wiring... no cutting at all.

Here's a pic of the completed turn signals with the narrowed bumper finished also.

The new fender are assembled and ready to go... just waiting for the undercoating to dry... then some clear... then they get installed!

Great work, Love the new location for the turn signals. Since there already was a hole there for the fog lights might as well use them right?

SO here they are... I am super happy with them and I think my libby actually looks like a Jeep! I have some final touch up work to do like painting the inner fender black and drilling some more mounts.... but those can wait until after Moab.... I'm so surprised this all worked out as well as it did.

Now for the pics....

Looks GREAT durangotang! You'll have to let us know how they hold up on the highway and trails. I bet you get some looks from other Jeep owners as they pass by!

An update...

the fenders survived Moab with no problems whatsoever. Looks like they are good to go.

Had some good discussions with tjkj2002 and others there and will be starting on the rear ones (or lack thereof) in the near future.

Durango,

Good for takin on this project and all but......

I think they look like they still need to be "finished". Not so much the fender flares but the wheel wells. There is jjust too much unfinished work goin on under the flares. ie the wheel wells. Some bondo work maybe??? I often wone=dered what my rig might look like without the flares and bondo filled in in place of the missing flares. But this is just my opnion and congrats on havin a very unique kj!

i think you should paint the inner part black to help hide everything.....look at swampthings Image see how his is painted and it blends in.
