I'm gathering materials and blueprints and whatnot
to make my boulder bars/ sliders my only hitch now is the self tapping bolts
any help to the size of hardware that anyone has used on the pinch rail and the supports to the frame..

And where are you finding the self tapping bolts...? :?:
been looking around ..... cant seem to locate...

Thanks for the help in advance

i used 1/2" bolts for the sub frame and 3/4" bolts for the pinch weld. these are for the rails i made not some that were bought. i also didnt use self tapping bolts. i just drilled the holes and it worked just fine for me. please feel free to PM me any questions you may have. i have made a few sets of rails for the KJ in both body styles and also 10 or so for Land Rovers and a few for TJs. i can also give you a build list for the metal you will need to make them. including sizes. i am currently making a set for each body style now.

one side done
have to grind down everything and make it look pretty
then prime and paint
this may be a odd question but besides powdercoating (the oven i have access to is small)
what does everyone use to protect the metal
Just paint or what??

And how about color choices red, yellow, black or what???

California school system makes people think you're thick? What's the conversion rate from pds to lbs?

Just razzing ya some.
