Now I will be able to see what is behind me! For power I disconnected the rear power port. I never used it anyway. That line already had a 20amp fuse so I was all set. At first I was going to tap into the line coming from the fuse to put an inline switch in. That would have been a nightmare! Plan "B". I ran 2 wires from the switch under the trim by the carpet. I cut one wire going to the light and put the 2 wires in there, completing the circuit again. Now whenever I want the light on I just throw the switch. So.....don't come up behind me with your high beams on!

I used an antenna mount that is for mounting a CB antenna to a mirror. It is made for something round just like the basket! The hole for the antenna is the right size for the light mounting bolt also!! You can see the mount in this picture.
Image

I still have to aim the light but at least it's on.

The switch is to the right of the steering wheel.

Can't do it in the day light. If I'm satisfied with it then I'll take care of the bare wires on there. I was thinking of using plastic pipe. Just paint it black.

Very nice I like the mount. Where did that come from?

I already had the mount so in a way it was a freeby. The mount works great because the pieces that clamp onto the basket have teeth on them so the bracket won't move. I don't think the brackets cost very much at a truck stop.

Last night my wife and I along with the dogs were enjoying some time together. All of a sudden it was as if the sun had come out, the whole house was lit up. The dogs ran for cover under the coffee table, the wife yelled aliens were here to take us. I then realized it was just Fulltimer backing up.

I've got a couple extra of these under the aquarium.

Could mount it on the back and really light up the hemisphere...

I pity the fool driving up behind with his lights on brights 'cause he's gonna get his eyelids fused together.

Yeah...if someone ever tailgates you, with a flip of a switch and those lights would just blind him and sent him swerving into a ditch...

Terry,

Take a look at the pic I doctored.

To get the most out of the "Shock Mount" KC puts on their lights you need to re-do the mounting. The CB antenna mount needs to be BETWEEN the rubber pieces with the cap then the lock washer then the nut.

Thanks Woody, I was wondering about that! When I fix the wires I'll take care of it.
