Yeah, I did the welding. It has crossed my mind, but I haven't really given too much thought about doing custom ones. How are you doing yours? |

lol well I was planning on just doing some regular ones like boulder bars until I saw the Carnage thread so now Im making them more like RLs I have 2"x2"x3/16" for the main tube and 1"x2"x1/8" for the legs, 2 leg each rail and a trianglular brace for each leg, and I going to use 1"x3/16" strap for the pinch weld and I have 1.75"x1/8 round tube to stick out past the 2x2 rail, the legs are for the front 12" and the rear are 10" |

the legs I did (2) 12" front and (2) 10" rear, and then Igot (4) that are 11" and arecut at a 45* for the triangular braces, and (2) 1"x3/16"x48" strap, and (2) 60" with 45* down cuts for the main rail, and I cant tell you about the 1.75" round tubing yet b/c Im not that far, I actually had a pretty big set back so |

What was the setback? I finished my rails this afternoon. They turned out great for what they are. I am still trying to figure out how to make the main round beam stronger. I keep coming back to buying a new thicker bar and welding it on there. Problem is I don't particularly want to do that. All the cutting and rewelding and what not. Might as well start over or buy new ones if I were to do that. |

well I went to The Yard in Wichita, and told the guy I need 1"x2"x.120 and he gave me 1"x2"x16gauge, so for my legs I had to use my 1.75" round tube instead just so I can get these done, its my fault for not checking it better I just assumed that if you work at a metal store you know what .120 is and can get the right one but oh well I guess I go back and get what I need |

Bummer. Should get your money back plus some extra for the time he wasted. |
