I'll try and get you these measurements tomorrow. Feeling slightly under the weather now that we just got back from Vegas. Partied too hard I guess.

Well, I haven't really crunched down on a rock with these yet. Did two trails down in Vegas and I hit a few nice size boulders, nothing major but they worked perfectly so far. I'll put them to a real test on Slick Rock Trail up here with the Nor Cal boys at the end of this month.

Had my Rails welded up today, they look GREAT 8) . I also noticed when I was looking around under the KJ that there was a large dent in the muffler  !! Guess that means I am going to be getting the FLOMASTER Diamond Plated! I will post pics once I get the rails all painted up, now just what bed liner kit to use????????

for the rock rails?? I would just paint them with some Rust-Oleum easier touch up, especially if you plan on actually using the rails

Post subject:  UPDATE!

So we ran Slick Rock Trail in NorCal this weekend and I got to REALLY test the rails. They worked perfectly, bashed the crap out of them and no dents, or issues at all. We stopped to take pics by a cool stream on the trail and when we got going again I wasn't paying attention and going about 6 or 7 mph I hit a boulder that was as tall as my front tires and bounces onto the rock rails twice. I hit right at the front of the rail and landed again at the back of the rail, that is how fast and hard I bounced. No issues, bulletproof. I hit and scraped them a ton of other times on the trail and they worked great, and whoever says Mopar skids are useless is wrong, they worked great for me on the trail and I abused the crap out of them too. Nothing broke and I was able to drive the 2+ hours home easily. :D

I was wondering if I could get a set of measurements as well, I was wondering what your front bumper looks like, I'm undecided on what to do for a bumper and looking for ideas. Thank You

I'll try and pm you a set of measurements later icefisher.

As for the bumper, check over in the pics of your rig section, there will be some there very shortly.

I would suggest that if you make your own, make the support brakets that bolt to the Libby 2"x1/4" steel, extra support and strength :)

Actually, 06 KJ Sport should have the measurements I sent him. icefisher45, hit him up for the measurements. I don't remember what they are.

The only reason I used the stock arms was for ease sake. I would have used heavier duty tubing for the arms, but you work with what you got and these have worked like champs out on the trails.

If you are starting from scratch then I'd fab em up beefier, but these work great and until they fail, which I don't see happening, I'm going to be using and abusing them. When I get tired of them I'll make a completely new set.

1"x2"x1/8" is all that is used on most, the ones I made are 1 3/4"x1/8" and they work great
