Guess this is the best place for bumper mod pics.....
I had a winch laying around wanting a place to sit and since I have more front end clearance now, figured it was time for a change...

Started w/ this:

Bought a universal winch mount from Harbor freight and modded it to work, cut, chop, grind....

I'll be boxing in the gaps and openings once it is burned in to the back of the bumper and adding an angled section down to the bottom of the bumper and filling in the sides. Probably add a bull bar over the top maybe tabs for lights......maybe.....we'll see how it develops. More to come...

Still needs some clean-up, might change the bosses (for the bolts) under the front to a recessed style and probably end up adding a hoop above the winch. Then it is off to sandblasting and back for prep & paint.

I know they have been done for awhile, I just wanted to point out that it looks good. I thought for sure that with all the SFA enthusiasts that it would be noticed right off the cuff and commented on, that is all.

I AM SORRY TOM PLEASE STOP HITTING ME! LOL.

Sheesh...feuding in my bumper thread. WTH?!

Anyhow, loved how it looked after sandblasting, almost just clearcoated it.... 8)

Decided I didn't like the way I did the bosses for the winch bolts on the front so I cut them out and recessed them (will show in coming pics w/ paint) and started laying on some paint tonight. Painted pics coming tomorrow-ish....

but seriously, here is the build thread. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=23008
It has been done for several months now and has many trips under it already, including the Moab event.

Marlin Crawler is not just a Toyota parts mfg. Marlin is a Toyota god. that guy makes the best Toyota parts & great customer service. Marlin is also a great guy to wheel with, he has lots of 4x4 knowledge. Do a search for Marlin on youtube & you can watch his truck drive itself. Its freakn awesome. Or go to his website they have the videos there I believe. I know its obvious im not only into Jeeps im into the sport of 4x4 :D
