ok, so i put my tire inside my jeep on the left side like the cherokees have it. right now, i have the seatfolded down, and a 2.5" exhaust clamp(opened up a TINY bit to fit through the rim) through the seat latch, backside of the rim is facing inside the jeep, and 2 washers and 2 wingnuts holding the tire in place. its pretty darn sturdy, but i was wondering what it looks like behind there and if any of you smart steel plate fabricators could fab up a sturdier/more solid mount for that location? just an idea, like allj's or rock lizard? even something that kind of clamps/bolts on to the seat latch. im not sure how strong that seat latch is back there, seems darn sturdy, but cant really tell in case of an accident, dont want that latch bending or moving/distorting to where the seat wont latch right. or even breaking causing the tire to go flying. just an idea or something to screw around with!!! :)

ill take a pic of my setup tomorrow for you guys to see it
