Love what you're doing with the 3D sketch-up & the rack idea. My one question though is weight? Given there is a max. recommended weight load to the stock rails.

I spent about 16 hours total trying to turn those KJ models into real solid models for Autodesk Inventor. I just want to build around one for visual effect on some fabrication stuff.

I eventually got one into it, but its just a shell and its make up of lots of flat triangles about 8" x 4"...needless to say it looks like crap and not usable for much.

If anyone else has the tools to convert .dae files to .iges or step files, I'm all ears. Better yet, anyone have an Inventor 9 or lower file?
