I installed a PC in my KJ, which is used instead of a radio.

i would also think that an XM system would work also. You would only be able to listen to xm though.

Looks good, and certainly cheaper than the 1,400 RB1 or whatever that one jeep makes!

I have a Sirius system that is controled by the PC. My PC handles CD/DVD/MP3 (all other audio formats)/Sirius playback/Internet Access.

That is Nice!!!!!

Does it have to be centered for clearence issues, I know you centered it for looks, but I believe either Serius or XM make a controller that is only 4" wide, just wonde if there is enough room on the side to install that in the same hole?

There is only a little over and inch of clearance on each side. Garmin does makes smaller units that may make it possible to put both.

You have a plant growing out of your dash and pc or are those sparks flying?

Seriously, what is up with the speaker in the center console?

The screen is the same as this one http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=47. I got mine off of ebay under the brand name TVIEW. It stays in that position. I would have to reposition the vent ducts to allow for room for it to go up and down.

IMHO - it'd look cool if the oval surround for the GPS was painted the same red accent color you have in there...

That was a consideration. I decided that i wanted it to blend in, instead of standout.

Impressive fab work. Could I get some more info on the PC install and what software you're using?

I just added some specs to the top of my website http://www.inmyhappyplace.com/jeep/. Let me know if there is any specific information you need.

I'm actually looking for some details on how you have it wired up. Does it power up when you turn on the Jeep and shut down when you turn it off?

How exactly did you mount the screen?

I have two Carnetix 1260 DC to DC regulators. They have the ability to turn the PC on when they receive power. I also have seperate Power ON and Reset buttons mounted in the dash. The screen is just sitting in a hole i cut in the top of the dash.
