Looks good. Definitely put some carpet on it. I used some spray adhesive and carpet tack nails to hold mine in. Took some patience and a few choice of words, but it looks better carpeted. I also added some screw-in eye bolts if you ever wanted to strap something in.

Make sure it doesn't break lose and hit anyone in case of any accident/rollover.
Also, I sure hope you will build a cover or a big plate with small compartments to store whatever you plan to put in the tray, I would hate to have those stuff hit the back of my head in a collusion.

very nice. I made mine the same way with a smaller lip. Carpeting is pretty easy go to Walmart and get the stuff used to cover speaker boxs. If you ahve the gray interior it matches very well. I used a air stapler to cover mine and stretched it across to a nice tight fit.

Back is a dowel fitting in where the rear shade fits in, Front is two L brackets in where the the seat clips. Going to carpet it. Went with my neighbor to Bass Pro today with my kids and his 19 month old and it turns out to be a pretty good changing table.

Wow, a changing table! Really great idea for those of us with babies. Changing a diaper on the front passenger seat can be tricky. Maybe my wife will let us take the jeep on our trips if I had one..

I'm definitely making one, I hate riding in her concorde now.
