Good to know, thanks for that.

For the power wire I matched the gauge but for the really thin wires that I needed to extended I used a slightly thicker gauge, I believe it was 24. I left the fuse the same so I am good.

So when I take my inverter apart to run some wires, where am I running them to?
Battery?

You have to cut the plug off that would connect to the power port. There are 2 wires, one is the ground the other is the power. I grounded it to the body and extended the power wire to a power distribution block under my seat. That block has a thicker gauge main feed that runs to the battery. That is just how I did it.
