Couple more pics of progress. This is the rear part (behind the door) of the right rear flare, on the bench. Sorry about the cell phone pics, they're not too good.

Still some trimming and finish work to do on it. Worked some on the front part of the RR flare too, but no pics yet.

Post subject:  Re: Larry's Tube Fenders - UPDATE - Rear Flares

Did some finish work on the rear half of the right side flare today. Also got the frame welded together for the left side rear half. cut the sheetmetal for the skin on the left rear half and started fitting/tacking together the tubing for the door half on the right side. After all the workers left today and before I shut down the compressor I pulled the Jeep into the shop and installed all the rivnuts for both sides. 22 of 'em . Didn't take any pics of the flare yet ( want to wait till I get the finish grinding done).
This is the rivnut style I used, It is a 9mm OD, 6mm thread Knurled crimp to grab the sheetmetal since I can't make a hexagon hole with my drill

Here's what the rivnuts look like installed

A little more progress ... slowly .... a little at a time

Rear quarter view
Image

Left rear - rear with no sheetmetal yet, checking fit
Image

Right rear and the door piece not quite done yet, still checking fitment. Checking to see how they work together on the KJ
Image

Voodooman was asking about this part. There is about 3/8" between the flares at the door. It doesn't look quite square to each other, but that will be fixed when I get the tubing welded on
Image

I now have 2 right rear rears made, working on my first set for a customer. ( I have a customer  SSHHHHHH, it's a surprise, nobody knows yet who it is! and it's not in Ohio! ) Having other problems with the engine so I might not get much on these for a few days at least.
