WILDMAN: to bad you aren't in Southern Ohio cause I'm in Youngstown right now. Then on to NW Pennsylvania. If you were in the southern part I would swing over on my way back to Florida.

Not that far across Ohio Terry
You can then run 75 down through to go back home

If I was by myself it would be no problem. But the wife is with me and wants to get back with her old bitties ASAP!

Larry, looking good. Who cares about wiring, hoses... you're replacing it all, just rip that stuff out of there. :goink:
Are you going to take a minute or two :seuss: and do a tear down of the 3.7 to see what went wrong???

No SJ, no progress, been sick with some kinda flu bug or something. Didn't even go to work a couple days. Feelin better, so maybe I'll get out and finish stripping out the engine compartment tomorrow. EL has a 302 he's gonna sell me and I have a trans and xfer case all lined up. Just gotta get somebody to buy my Mustang or camper or 45RFE or NP231 or..... well you get the idea. A couple people have been interested in the Stang so maybe it'll go quick.

WHAT THE HECK! I don't log on for a few days and I miss a whole engine gut! Wildman, looking good. I am going to keep an eye on this build out :) Did you pick up a motor yet? I wish we had no smog here in vegas! Stupid bureaucrats! Keep us posted and keep the photos coming.

Well, halfway thru another week and not much to report. Began preliminary work on the dash cluster.
Image
Ordered the first 2 gauges for it, along with the sending units.
ImageImage
Will order the rest as the project moves along. I went with Auto Meter gauges in the white face, 2-1/16" Ultra-Lite II Series. Speedo and Tach will be 3-5/8". The KJ will end up with in-dash mounted (in the factory dash cluster if things go right!) Speedo, Tach., Fuel level and Water Temp. gauges. I also plan on adding an A-Pillar 3-gauge pod with aux. gauges. In addition to the first 4, what other 3 gauges should I be monitoring? The available list of matching gauges in 2-1/16 is: Oil Pressure, Trans. Temp., Oil Temp, Fuel Pessure, Voltmeter ........ Nitrous Pressure  .... Air/Fuel Ratio, Vacuum/Boost and Pyrometer. :juggle: Only 3 Now!

I'm thinkin' : Oil Pressure, Trans. Temp and Voltmeter. What do you think?

(The nitrous gauge will mount to the dash .... I'll find somewhere for it! :ROTFL: ) NOT!

Slap that nitrous gauge on a hood mount :frankie:
LOL

looks good, glad you have the 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 on your fuel gauge...you might get confused otherwise ;)

Don't worry, with that 302 it will always be in the left side of the gage anyways. Alot like how it looks right now.

Thanks for that Stump! :-)r Just the kind of encouragement I need! Went out and pulled most of the engine compartment wiring out of it. Got everything except the fuse block harness disconnected and pulled out. Both control modules are out. There is still one harness that needs to come out that goes along the DS and then across the front and back the PS. I was going to just rip it out but it has the rad. fan wiring and the windshield wiper wiring in it ( I think from the relay/fuse block, but it's all wrapped )which I want to keep intact, so I'll get those tomorrow or over the weekend. (I'll probably end up rewiring those too, but for now... )
