Heres the CAD:
Image
Top and front plates are 1/4" thick for strength, and everything else is 1/8" and 1/16"

Im getting all the metal for free because it was donated to the school so I had to make due with what we had. Top plate where the winch sits needed to be 8"x35" and i only had access to 5", 4 1/2", and 3 1/2" wide steel. Welded 3 1/2" and 4 1/2" pieces together, ground the top weld down flat and braced the bottom. Heres the bottom side with the added angle iron for strength.

Mounts all welded up with nasty looking welds:

Tacked together, fitting it to the Jeep for the rest of the work.

Bought some turn signals from http://www.nueratrailerparts.com, $13 for 2 front signals, pigtails and groments

Got a little done today. Mounts are fully welded to the bumper, everything else is tacked in place. I only get to work on it for 1 1/2 hours every other week day so that's why it's goin slow.

4 bolts each side. 3 in front, 1 next to the wheel well

That should do it then, just knowing how the ARB mounts and what mine has gone through was hoping it was more than what I had seen, good job.
Wish you were closer could give you some evening work

Thanks for all the compliments.

It's not going anywhere, I spent 30 bucks on grade 8 bolts  and spent quite a bit of time working on the mounts. I wanted to have it like the ARB but it was a little to complicated for a high school shop, same with the detours mounting system.

And teckman02, that's what I was going for. In my opinion his bumper was the best I've ever seen on a liberty. I changed up a few things and made my own designs so I wasnt copying, but my intent was for it to look basically like his.

I bought some winch line from TJKJ and it should be here in 2 days, and the bunper will hopefully be done for a wheeling trip this weekend :pepper: :JEEPIN:

Got the dring mounts welded up. Cut a hole in the bumper, and welded the mounts on the front and back for strength.

Dalton,

I'm glad you have a school that lets you work on stuff like that. Keep it up and you'll have one of the nicest rigs on here...if you don't already.

Wish my school would have let me get that in depth with stuff. Keep up the good work.

I'm very fortunate to have access to such a well eqqipped shop where I don't have to pay for gas or welding wire. I have the ability use a CNC plasma table, band saw, grinders, Mig, tig, and arc welders and much more. It is by far my favorite class of my schooling career. It's really helped me make career choices and decide what I'm doing after high school.

I got a bit more done today. Don't know if I like it....looks kinda bulky to me. I'll grind the edges down to give it a smoother look and am having the top portions under the headlights cut by CNC.

Lookin pretty good. It looks pretty decent now. Will probably look better once you get under the headlights cut out. Keep at her man.
