That's a great price (without the light bar/lights), I would just have to see what shipping would be to CT. Or I could make a road trip, although I wouldnt be able to do that for at least a month or two :(

What's the aprox weight?

I'd be interested in one and I'm close enough to come pick it up. If you could tweak the design a little bit, eliminating the lightbar and making it wider so that it either rested on the stock rails (or better yet, replaced the stock rails). I'd be all over that like a fat kid on a cupcake. Let me know what you can do.

Excellent Job! Looks great.

I am guessing that "EMT conduit" is the metal electrical conduit you can get at home depot... If so, isn't it galvenized? I thought welding galvenized tubing was a big no-no (toxic fumes). Or are we talking about the black pipe stuff.

Anyway, looks great!

Looks very nice and clean..Great Job.

I noticed you have a set of pencil beams and a set of the fog lights for the lightbar. Does it make a wide pattern. I have 4 of the pencil beams on mine and think the pattern is a bit narrow...but lights far ahead.

The weight w/ packaging material would be close to 40lbs.
FedEx was about $20 and UPS was almost $30

Yes I will consider variations of this rack. But, that may take a little longer. If you want just cross rails thats easy.

Yes, the fog pattern illuminates almost 90 deg. to each side. The down side is that the pattern is narrow in height.

Silly idea ... considering it's already EMT, why don't you use it for what it was meant for in the first place? :D

You shouldn't need to use the plastic shroud thing.

I agree, a direct bolt up in the stock rail mounting positions would be great! Keep us posted :D

I've been thinking about a rack that mounts to the factory locations and I think it's gonna be awesome. but, of course it will take time.. I'll start on it tonight. I just hope some one is serious about buying one of these or else I'll have two racks and one liberty.

I'm thinking you stretch the width of the rack a little bit to match the width of the OE rails. Make the mounts to fit the stock positions, keep it low... and of course just behind the sunroof. I'm in line for one :D

How about something like this. Its not anywhere close to being finished but you sort of get the idea. This one is a direct bolt on and the megastructure is made of 1" tubing. For reference, the tire in the pic is 32". Let me know if you like.

How much would it cost for you to fab up just the rack mounts? Same pipe diameter but use square tubing? I want to fab my own rack up but I cant find the right measurements to fab it up. I love how level yours is so if you could fab a set up for me that is great. PM me and let me know how much it would cost for it all and shipping. Thanks!

Wow, that was quick, you do nice work. I was a little worried about how a flat rack would look with the roof line without the sideraile, but it looks good to me.

Wow, thats awsome. I will be buying one of these come this summer. I do not have the money right now. I want one just like yours libby. Would you still be doing that in the summer. $250 is a great price! I want the light bar and everything. Does it hit the roof when you put heavy things in it?
