Has any one made a shelf and then sheeted it with metal? I put dirty running shoes in the back of my jeep... so I don't feel like cleaning fabric. I want tosheet metal it so that I can bedline it... could I do that to just wood though? I didn't think spraying on just wood would be a good idea. So I'm open for suggestions.
Might even tear out the fabric back there and bedline it too... :D

I'm not saying this is absolutely necessary, but I would recommend sealing the wood with epoxy first. That will seal the wood like nothing else and virtually any paint in the world will bind to it. If you go that route, check the epoxy manufacturers recommendations about how long to let it cure before painting.

p.s., I attempted to reply to this already, but must have hit the wrong button. So if two similar replies show up magically that's why.

Ok so I plan on using the designs others on this site have used to build my shelf. However mine will have a twist! It will be getting bedlined, tie-downs, and the biggest mod of all, it will be getting sawed in half and hinges will be installed so that I can fold it. I some times put taller object in the back so this will come in handy. Hopefully it will support itself folded the same as normally extended, if it doesn't I guess ill have to mod a little more :frankie: and add some support legs. If you have any tips id appreciate them! I plan on doing this two weekends from now!
