Panel #2 pre-wired and ready to install into STINGN's jeep tomorrow morning.

Much simpler design, as he already has everything installed that he's going to power from the panel.
(Three pairs of lights, and a CB radio)

Mine still has room for expansion, when ever I get around to it.

I'm in LOVE.
Soon.. I have all my wires ready, just have to get a plate to mount everything.

I have one question about the mounting plate, is it possible to make it out of some other material, preferably one that isn't conductive? just in case for whatever reason a hot wire hits it?

The only "hot" wire near it is the 6 gauge that comes from the battery.
Once the knee panel is closed, you've got tons of clearance.
In fact, my biggest concern was shorting the main power wire to the steering column support,
but there's several of inches clearance there as well.

Just keep everything neat and clean, and you'll have no problems.

In my setup I'm not using a nifty plate of Brads design but am actually using the metal supports of the panel as the grounding point. I run a 1/2" braided ground wire from the frame to the metal on the panel.

I guess you're right. I guess it hard to visualize it.

Well, you're definitely not local. :ROTFL:

There are two options I guess.

Option 1: I have schematics, pictures, and dimensional drawings posted here.
If you feel adventurous, make use of the information, and have a go at it yourself.

If you're having trouble reading the schematics, etc online, PM me an e-mail address,
and I'll send copies to you.

OR......

Option 2: If you'd care to supply funds for the required parts, plus shipping costs both ways, and say $30
for my time, I can build up the panel for you to your specifications, and return it to you with complete
instructions on how to mount it, and how and where to terminate the remaining wiring.

This option would involve you running the 6 gauge primary power and ground wires, and doing
the final termination of any switches, lights, and other accessories you wish to hook up.
I of course would supply complete instructions on how to do this of course.

I would even consider the idea of you sending the knee panel to me, but I'm afraid shipping cost would be preventative.

The panel can be fabricated and painted in a day.
Once the paint dries, approximately 3 - 4 hours to have it completely wired.

I'm guessing most people who aren't in my local area will opt for option 1. :rockon:

As a side note.......

If there is enough interest, I may consider doing a "production run" of a generic panel.

This panel would include everything necessary to connect up to 4 pairs of auxillary lights, plus
the addition of another 12 volt accessory such as CB or Ham radio, or GPS.

Anyone wishing to purchase one would be responsible for shipping of course.

I would have to work out the details, such as cost of materials, etc. before I can come up with
a price per panel.

I would also need FIRM orders for at least 5 panels before committing to such an endeavor.

Let me know if you're interested.

We'll be updating the STINGN Liberty tomorrow with another set of lights, relays, etc. :pepper: :BANANA: :pepper:

I'll try to remember to take more photos this time... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
specifically of where the wiring is routed in the engine compartment, and into the passenger compartment
from the various light locations.....

Remember..... I said I'd TRY to remember... :ROTFL:

Screwing up your ride can't (won't) happen if you hook up power and ground to the battery last.
And remember to use all the fuses.

It's pretty straight forward.

I am also interested in this panel! Hopefully will get some lights by the end of the year, and if you do a "production run", a panel to go with them! :mrgreen:
