Atleast it will help them get it done quicker. I was going to attempt to do this myself; but after my spell Monday and "lack-of" tools to do the job, I better let them do it. Shouldn't take no time to do this and hope to have the Jeep tomorrow evening. Like! How much did yah spend on the bumpers...or did I miss that? |

How much did yah spend on the bumpers...or did I miss that? $50 each Took me a little while to find them for $50 each. People was wanting too much for the oem tj bumpers on craigslist, but all came through in the end. Just takes time and patience to find them for the right price. |

What do you all think about this? Thought about getting something like it, to have bolted on the front. |

It's DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any questions on how it was done...PM me for my cell phone number and I'll explain it to you...if you can't figure out how they attached them from the pictures...then well... They used stainless steel bolts etc etc... Next Plans: Add a stinger, winch plate and winch up front...weld metal to both bumpers to cover the ugly spots... Cost: Front TJ bumper $50 Rear TJ bumper $50 Labor (which includes everything AND the kitchen sink) $120 Total Cost: $220 |

tommudd wrote: Now you need a KK trailer hitch to get it up higher he has a point, it would look better and improve you departure angle. Just sell the one you have to help pay for the KK hitch. |

Just sell the one you have to help pay for the KK hitch. ..but I don't want to. I have to "PAY" people to do work for my Jeep cause I live a long ways off from those on here would could help me with my projects. Anyways, I like how it is and will add changes later. Right now, I'm just happy to have my Jeep back. It looks good to me and that's all that matters. |

Not to be a hater, but.... I dont know why anyone would do this (er, pay someone to do this!) to their jeep- especially if you don't wheel much and don't have a need for the approach angle increase. I'm sure it looked real nice before with just the lift/tire setup. Looks pretty ghetto to me, and the work and $ it'll take to add tow points and cover up all the ghettoness, I bet you could have had one fabbed from scratch.... I'd keep the stock bumpers around in case you ever want to sell it... |

I'd keep the stock bumpers around in case you ever want to sell it... Well everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I guess. First off, I don't have the tools to do the job. Second, I wanted it done properly. Third, I don't wheel much because there is not that many places around where I live to do so legally. This is my daily driver and my Jeep. I will do whatever I want to it. It's almost paid off and when it is paid off, I will be retiring it as my trail rig. I don't think it looks ghetto and that's not the proper term to use. The nearest LOST Members I trust to work on my Jeep and know what they're doing live 7hrs from me. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't have paid someone to do this mod for me. The shop I go to has been working on my Jeep since day one. They know who I am and I really like their work. It's a small shop but everyone comes to them for stuff. There's not many women Jeepers out there; and fewer women who'd rather spend $120 on labor for a bumper mod, rather than spend it on clothes. Guess what? I'm one of those women! Lastly, I'm in no way planning to sell this Jeep. It's my first Jeep and I've been through alot with it. My Jeep is awesome to me and that's all that matters. FYI: It's a work in progress. I'm not made of money and can't do everything to it at once. |
