 Post subject: TJ seats in a KJ will it work??

Like the title stated a buddy of mine has a 05 TJ with BDU colored seats and i want them and he does not want them any more he wants tan seat, will the seat it self work on the KJ seat frame and if not what modification will i have to do to make it work???

like the seat looks to be the same size and all, but if i remove the mounting hardware from the tj and just use the seat its self will it work

I doubt it. The seat cushion bolts to a frame which is a one piece unit with the sliders and frame that mount to the floor. When I had mine apart I couldn't see a way to separate the seat from the rails that mount to the floor. You'd have to cut and weld

I found a set of very clean '03 Limited seats, swapped out my manual rails, and now I have a set of manual heated leather seats that my booty doesn't fall asleep in.
