Hitch carrier cut down to 30" and raised mount 24" to reduce dragging. This also allows me to strap carrier to spare tire to eliminate wobble.

It also folds flat against tire when not in use and tilts down to allow tailgate to open. I will post more pics after i paint it.

Need to make a few adjustments to get the twist and lean out of the old rack.

Another possibility would be to extend the upright and set the rack over the spare tire.

Way to go, very nice job!
You could always make it a double decker also instead of extending it up and over spare. Just duplicate what have on the first level up a little higher :twisted:
