 Post subject: Location for mounting an air tank underneath on a KJ

Dimensions of the tanks are roughly 12" x 6"(1 Gallon), next size 14.5" x 7"(2 gallon). :juggle:

Not a lot of extra room under the KJ
May look at drivers side next to the gas tank as one spot, smaller one may fit in there
or drivers side of the transfer case is a small amount of room as well

The only way I would mount one under the vehicle is under a good skid plate. Otherwise I would mount it inside somewhere else inside.

There is a guy on the WK forums who mounted a pancake 1 gallon inside his spare tire underneath the WK I'll try and find the thread

I installed a small air tank behind the left rear tire between the the wheel well liner and the rear bumper cover. I fabricated a bracket to hold it. I ran the 3/8 poly air brake line along the inside frame rail and zip tied it to the lines that also run along the frame rail.
