Does anyone have a good supplier (inexpensive) for 13" 4 lug wheels for a trailer? |

Just got back this evening from a long 4th weekend road trip to the cabin. It was the first road trip with the trailer project. Worked great! I got 27 mpg pulling it down the highway while running the a/c in the CRD. For short trips to the lake I was also able to put a canoe on it. |

Add a couple of uprights (steel would be better) in those sockets toward the rear of your cool trailer to stabilize the drop gate. It'll last way longer. I wish we lived somewhere we could store something like what you built. Excellent! |

Very nice job all the way around. I'm glad to hear that you and your family are getting a lot of fun use out of it. |

03CDKJ wrote: was the title in reference to my Herman???? Actually, yes. I had been working on this just prior to your posting your Herman. I can see advantages to both trailers. Yours is definitely more aerodynamic and can accommodate taller stuff. Mine is lower profile and can still fit 4x8 sheet goods. Plus I was able to used a trailer I already had to keep my cost down. candpliberty wrote: You might be better of replacing the hubs with 5 lug. Then your choices become infinitely better. And the price of the wheels will be affordable. I think you are correct. |

yellocoyote wrote: Looks good - super functional too. Glad you were able to get out and test it out. Any plans to paint the plywood? No way! I like the woody look! Plus it's got a gallon of helmsman spar urethane on it. The finish is way more durable than paint, it's easy to maintain, and it's as smooth as a baby's butt. |
