No updates because I've been so busy knocking out the same bumpers.
Did take a pic of this, just thought 60 flap discs is something you don't see everyday.

Had a bunch of parts cut and bent for me to save time. The one thing I've never liked about all this is measuring, marking and drilling holes, all of which need to be exactly the same. Until now I've been doing all this manually so this is pretty exciting for for me. HUGE thank you to BESRK over on JF for drawing all this out in CAD and cutting all this for me. Lead time was really fast too, considering he does this aside from his day job. This isn't even all of it, he's still working on some of the parts.

Very nice. How many will you be able to make?
When are you going to start producing for the KL:).

Here's another project I've been trying to find the time to start since last summer. I took an extra day off work to start it. Now this is very rough, I made the mounts oversize because I didn't know how big they needed to be. The tube under the flare will be cut and capped for a better fit. I will easily cut them down to an angle with the plasma cutter and cap them. There will be an alminum skid bolted on and prerunner style hoops similar to my production plate bumpers. There is plenty of beef to make this a winch bumper but I haven't decided if thats going to happen. Tell me what you all think good/bad.

Looks good, but a little naked. Might just be the angle of the photo, but looks pretty close to the tire.

That part needs about 6" of trimming. Once the crossmember gets painted it will look more natural clothed.

I like it. Is it a lot lighter than the other bumpers?

Theres still a lot to add to it, but yeah it 'll be lighter than the plate bumpers and a bit stronger.

Another good idea. I'm Undecided. I have seen the other bumper pictured more so it might just be that.

You've been busy. I see the pile of flap discs as tons of metal work in the future!

Looks like it will mount on a KJ as well from the pics.

As it sits now it probably would but I'm adding some plate work to fill in the area under the turn sigs as well as a tube pretty close to the grille. Also a traditional prerunner hoop and aluminum skid.

Any idea of the cost for one of those?

No idea. I was just building this as a side project to see how it turns out. I'm still on the fence whether a tube bumper will work well on a KK. :?

I think it'll look good. Once the rest of the parts were added.

I like it. If I had to choose between your 2 styles. .. Not sure which one I would pick.
Any thoughts of making a complete KK skid package?
