I'd say about 500 lbs max. It's pretty overbuilt. However my hitch tongue max rating load is only 350 lbs. Mostly I carry my chainsaw and water cans it. This little tab is a sideplate from a harverster chain. I put my main tarp pole in it when camping. Though I might mount a flood light there ...... 1/8" steel plate and 1"x1/8" angle make this rack bomber tough. No flex. Complete rigidity. Grade 8 bolts, washers and Nylock nuts and red loctite keep it together. Main tray to hitch tubing bolts are 3/8" grade 8 and they go right trhu . Again locktite and nylocks.
