So here's the light bar I made about three weeks ago and finally got around to putting it on today. (I got sick of driving with out a bumper on and I will be camping tomorrow) It is steel tubing with some brackets. Pretty easy to do if you have a mig welder. Oh, and I got it powder coated. Nice! Looks like you bolted it to the bumper - did you go thru metal or just the plastic cover?

Dude!! That looks great. Any chance of posting a blue print or the dimensions you used. That really looks good.

to answer the questions
I did bolt it to the metal front frame rail.

The bar is 19 1/2" long of 1" square tubing and the mounts I cut out of 2" angled steel that are an 1 1/2" wide then welded 3 1/2" (tall) by 1" (wide) piece of 1/4" steel to come out of the bumper.

Blacksmoke,
I was only able to use my friend's father's shop to make it. With the tools, MIG welder, and metal scraps he has, it was very easy. Sorry I will not be able to build you one unless my friend wants to make one when he gets his cherokee.

I finally got time to install my off road lights. They only were in the back of my KJ for 2 months.
Here it is, and I found an easy way to mount them
Image
and this is how I mounted them with out drilling any holes except for the fire wall.:
Image
And here is the fire wall wire run to the cab I found this an easy spot to get a drill in next to the motor:

And here is the switch in the cab:

And here is the end results:

Hey jeep dawg those lights look really good. I like how they match the bull bar and the location of the switch mines further down.

Thanks kjmurphy,

It took a long time to plan it out. I wanted to match as best as i could.
I knew where I was going to put the switch from day 1 because I was messing around under the dash trying to look for a place to mount it and then that little strip molding fell off when looking, I was like, UH HA, thats where ya gonna live switch....

The Bar is awesome man. Im trying to build something similar but I have two questions:
1. what size are the holes your drilled into the brackets that attach to the jeep?
2. Is there any reason you did not weld the cross beam?
Thanks in advance!
