Was just over at my "builder's" house yesterday. Almost there! Bleed brakes, double check all bolts, rear limit straps, reinstall front driveshaft and all skids, tiny bit of wiring. Maybe a week or two, then its out on the asphalt for a test run. Put 500 miles on the new gears, then i can really see what it'll do!

So here's the seats that will be going in. Still waiting on the mounting brackets for the front seats. I'll have to fab or adapt the stock brackets for the rear seats.
Front seats are Corbeau LG1 with reclining option and a pump up lumbar support. Rear seat is a 42" Corbeau Baja RS bench.

5 point harnesses. The lap belt and submarine belt will bolt to the floor. The shoulder belts will attach to the new harness bar going from b-pillar to b-pillar.ImageImage

There's a thread on the flares here farther down.

The Red Baron is back! Picked it up yesterday morning in time to run the 20 miles in to town for Jeeps and Java at the local speed shop. Was the talk of the parking lot! LOL! It started raining and things kinda broke up. After the rain showers passed, I had time to bolt on the new 7" LED roof lights and 2 - 9" LED bars on the back. Not wired yet, but they're up there.ImageImageImage

Had more rain showers this morning. It stopped about 1p so I headed to the driveway again. Opened up the big box I got a couple weeks ago and started bolting brackets on to my rack. Had a hard time lifting and maneuvering it, but finally managed to get the Overland Vehicle Systems Nomadic 270 awning bolted up and adjusted. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Next on the list is beginning to tackle the interior. I removed both front seats, rear seat and all interior trim pieces and . (I'll pull the console tomorrow morning). Drug the hose out and put the nozzle on it and hosed out the inside. There was still mud caked under the carpet from when I sank it last October! The carpet itself is trash. Not sure I'll actually replace it.
Installed the brackets on the bottom of the front seats. Not sure how I'll mount the rear yet. They don't offer a bracket for it so .... more fab work there.
First 2 pictures show how bad it was. 3rd picture is after. 4 and 5 is one of the front seat brackets. 6 is the installed bracket. 7 is the Corbeau LG1 TrailCat front seats and Baja RS suspension rear seat. 8 is one of the seats with harnesses and the last one is the rear seat.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

More pics from yesterday. Finished the front seats up, then started on the Rockhard Fabrication bolt-in harness bar. (RH-1030-SFH4) Its made for 07-18 4dr JK. After talking with another KJ owner that made his own and getting his/taking my own measurements we thought it might work. It was $179.95 so I went for it, thinking I could tweak/modify what I needed to. Our B-pillar pinch weld to pinch weld measurements are ALMOST the same as the JK.
Well, I made it work! It WAS a little work! I had to "massage " the pinch weld a little and "tweak " the mounting on the bar a little, but it's in and solid! I stretched the harnesses back to the rear seat mounting brackets temporarily. They will get wrapped properly on the bar itself after paint. Now that it's in, I have to go out today and pull and paint or take to powder coat. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

After working on the seats and bar all day I was about to wrap it up and decided to just tackle a small project. Added the taillight guards and new taillights. I had broken one on the trail trying to negotiate a tight turn in some trees while backing up.
On to more mods!!ImageImage

Pulled the harness bar out today. Scuffed and painted the b-pillar where I scratched it all up fitting the bar last week. Threw the bar on the floor in the back seat of the car to drop off for powder coat. I decided I needed to move the passenger side tube door over to double check the fitment between the two Jeeps (just in case I needed to "adjust" the latch.) Removed the 1 door and bolted up the tube door. It fits great except I may have to add 1 shim on the hinge for the latch to catch perfect. It catches and latches, im just not quite happy with the throw on it. Now it can be finish welded. I still need to do the latch on the driver's door then go back to the rear doors. On the back seat. How much wider would a person go to make it work?
