Has anyone thought of using UNI _ STRUT for the cross bars yet. They use to hang pipes in factories and plants .
I believe I will go with 1 1/4 bars and use the 1 in. pipe clamps and probally double them up for strenth. I'll try to post a pic
when I have them installed in a few days with my bike on top of it ! what do you think about idea ? Please post

Much of that pipe hanging hardware can be had in stainless steel for food process plants etc. but you'd likely have to order it special.

That would be sweet to have it in Stainless but, I'm getting the green from work if you know what I mean !!!!
I'll also double up the pipe claps on each corner for strenth which should be enough to hold a few bike bikes or rowboat!!!
