Has anyone thought of using UNI _ STRUT for the cross bars yet. They use to hang pipes in factories and plants . I believe I will go with 1 1/4 bars and use the 1 in. pipe clamps and probally double them up for strenth. I'll try to post a pic when I have them installed in a few days with my bike on top of it ! what do you think about idea ? Please post |

Much of that pipe hanging hardware can be had in stainless steel for food process plants etc. but you'd likely have to order it special. |

That would be sweet to have it in Stainless but, I'm getting the green from work if you know what I mean !!!! I'll also double up the pipe claps on each corner for strenth which should be enough to hold a few bike bikes or rowboat!!! oh Yea and some lites someday |
