This is my first post here on LOST and I thought i'd put up some pics of my new to me liberty. Thinking about swapping all chrome(wheels, emblems, antenna) for black. The wheels are pretty scratched up and if i'm going to paint the wheels black I might as well get rid of all the chrome. Ill use platidip to see how it comes out.
Either way, I don't plan on leaving it looking stock.

Yep, a 2WD '06 Libby Sport, as basic as they came.
I go through a few dirt roads and terrible paved roads daily and the Liberty gives a pretty smooth ride.

Bought a can of black Plasti Dip to try out on my spare, and I really like the results.

Here is a picture right after I put it back on. Lug nuts are still chrome.
Image

I painted the lug nuts after but I think I will be peeling it off because my other 4 tires are entirely black and have no white lettering.

Got 3 more cans of plasti dip, but I got them pretty late in the day so I just did one wheel. I'll do the other three tomorrow.

The white in the inside is paper covering the brake. Left the wheel on since the lug nuts were freaking impossible to take off.

I was going to tape the lug nuts and leave them chrome but all blacked out looks much better to me. Hopefully I can finish tomorrow and get the pics up here!

Finished, and wow, I love the new look! I didn't think it would come out as good as the spare since the tires are all black but it looks much better.

This is probably it for now, I got a few other things to add/replace but I think the lib looks much meaner now

Looks much better. I personally like my center cap and lugs to be silver.

Yep, Imperial Stormtrooper all the way. :D

How's the Plasti Dip holding up on the wheels? That's on my list whenever I find a warm enough place to do it. (Like next May...) ;)

Plasti Dip is holding up great. Some rocks managed to cut up a very small bit of it but if it ever gets too bad I will just peel it off and do it again. It can stand some pretty harsh weather.

Thanks! :)

I really like the new look on the hood. The old one looked a little too much like the mechanic left his rubber mat on top. The new one has definite style and character. :JEEPIN:

When ya have to touch up a spot, just spray it and use your finger to blend it in.
