How about it!?

YOU KNOW WHAT??
After reading the first post again, i can only blame myself for being dumb and not reading & UNDERSTANDING the request of the author of this post - sorry if i messed it up....

Easy there Scorpio Vette.....remember my rig is not built for rock crawling nor should it be compared to a rig that is.

It is built for long term vehicle dependant expeditions.

I would love to see someone drive 20,000 miles in a rock crawler......so my comment to that is.....

"Awww look at the little rock crawler on the short cute trail"

Sorry bro but it can go both ways ;)

Anyway...to each there own....and I agree you can't compare built towering TJs and XJs to a semi-modded Liberty anyway.....just not the same function.

So no offence taken, people just have to understand that there are other uses to 4X4's than climbing a big boulder and getting mud everywhere.

BTW...great pictures guys... I like this post!

no worries. i wasn't trying to compare them, and didn't mean no offense. i just see alot of "wheeling" liberties around here, and have only seen 1 in action on some wooded trails. our jeeps are pretty much set up to be "all-around" capable but also have to be streetable cuz they are our daily drivers and we put ALOT of miles on them. besides........bigger isn't always better. i know plenty of people that have "big" rigs and are bored because the trails are to easy for them.

i do have a quick question though. i noticed most of your liberties with 2-3" lifts and 31-32" tires......and read a couple posts that liberties don't do good with taller lifts. why is that??? what is the problem with liberties and tall lift???

ROFLMAO ..........i'm sorry, but i just had to share this. my wife drives a decent size moded 97TJ and i have a 95XJ and we always push the limits of our suspension. well i was showing her this new forum that i found, and was showing her pictures of the KJ's. when this picture came up, she went (little voice like talking to a baby) "awww......look at the cute little rock it's on". lol.......i'm sorry i just couldn't help but fall over laughing. nothing against the KJ's or nothing, but that was just to funny.

Just wondering? Whats the big deal about pushing your suspension to its limits? Have you ever wheeled with a yj? They have 0 flex but thats what some people wheel with. Suspension DOES NOT make a jeep off road worthly. It does help ALOT with traction and rocks, but thats NOT all you need.

look i didnt mean to step on your toes or offend you. i wasn't making fun of any of your KJ's, i just thought the way my wife said it was funny...sorry. it depends on what kind of wheeling you are doing. there is a variety of wheeling terrain and different style. you're right.......suspension isn't everything, but it does help when you can reach where you wanna go.

oh and i'm not sure why you say that YJ's have 0 flex. i drove this one and it seems to do pretty good.

lol....sorry i just had to. come on it's all just in good fun.

 Ya most YJ's have ...

Engine: 5.0L Mustang GT
Trans: C6 with Art Carr gate shifter
Tcase: Atlas 4speed with 10.3 :1 low = 110:1 crawl ratio
Front axle: Full width HP Dana 60, 4.10:1, ARB, Hydro Assist, 35 spline Yukon Alloy shafts, Warn Premium hubs
Rear axle: Full width Dana 60, 4.10:1, ARB.
Winch: Warn 8274-50
Tires: 38.5-14.50/16.5" on H1 Hummer Rims (5)
Springs: Rancho 44044 fronts, Rusty's 3" XJ rears.... 103.5" Wheel base
full roll cage, full hard top and doors, V8, Automatic trans, hydro assist steering, 1 ton axles, high clearance steering with 1 ton tie rod ends, shackle reversal, High Angle Driveline driveshafts, custom bumpers

LOL  you can say you didnt mean to offend the guy, but you did, fact is, you are just a typical jeep guy who likes to bash on KJs because they are Not "REAL" jeeps.

Well I wheel my Kj and have a blast with it and I can load up my kid in there easy for daily driving, I love it.
This is a KJ site, if you want to talk crap about them, go to some jeep site where they are all about rock crawling and laugh at KJ's, you'll fit in there.

and since this is a pic thread I will keep LIBAR8R happy..

Oh no, you didnt offend me any. I was just saying..

Does that yj have any springs? That would help flex ALOT if it didnt have any springs..

Yjs do not flex b/c they have leafs. You can add shackles to them to help with flex but stock, they have very little.

Let's all play nice and keep the pictures coming. :D No worries though, we tend to get defensive about our KJs at times.

This has gotten into the Skiers vs Snowboarders debate, the XC mountain bikers vs DH mountain bikers are better debate, the my pee pee is bigger and better than your pee pee debate... Granted when attacked you must defend, but we all love "JEEPS" regardless of the style you like to drive so lets do as the guy above me said and keep the pictures flowin'..

One love ya'll.....one love.

Something I noticed about my KJ...when you take it through the bigger puddles...and the deeper creek crossings...the Kj tends to want to literally "float" through the water. Its kinda neat to try...my KJ...even w/ stock tires was pretty good through the deeper water as long as you were moving. I can highly doubt he got stuck in this picture.

OK, I'll chime in with my $.02. Here are pics just after lift. I've got different tires on the stock wheels for the daily commute, but will be picking up some rock rails, and also a set of wheels to put the Grabbers on for when I want to have some real fun!!!

How do they ride for everyday use though? They seem rather heavy and bulky for on road use, but for offroad they seem choice.
