I am normally use a Canon EOS 5D but all of those pics are taken with my point and shoot. It's a screaming deal if you want some good pics.

Kodak Easyshare 12.1 Megapixel
Under $200

I would recommend it over just about any other point and shoot out there. All the panoramics were stitched together by the camera, I just found the spot and pushed the button 3 times 8)

i have a canon reabel XTi. i don't think i can do panorama shots but i think i will look into the kodak for a everyday camera.

Day 3 is done... a trilogy has ended...a sad day for us all

Today the mighty Kansas trio headed south from Ouray and visited me here in Durango. We stopped at a bakery and decided to head North to Vallecito Resevoir and try out a trail there.

Weather was gray and the flies were buzzin
Image

To start out we all had our doubts as we cruised down an easy gravel road around the lake... FOR-EVERRRRRRR!
Image

But then we found the mud  In the mountains? :o
Image

And suddenly the trail felt like backwoods Tennessee... mud, roots, trees... oh yes
Image

There's no way I can relay jus thow steep this hill is... we didn't make it
Image

Found another way around to a lookout over the Wimenuche Wilderness Area
Image

Then we found some more mud
Image

OK so it's bigger than it looked :D
Image

And into the mud KSKJ goes...
Image

And into the mud KSKJ stays... (we won't go into the fact that the strap is attached to the CRD that flew through it)
Image

After all was said and done we had some happy (and muddy) KJ's
Image

Image

Image

KSKJ then got the unfortunate job of chasing the dust cloud back to Durango (but there was a brewpub awaiting their arrival)
Image

Thanks for swinging through my neck of the woods guys... had an awesome time! Hope to see you in Meh-Hee-Ko

This is all around the Ouray area in southwest Colorado. Now would be the perfect time to plan to come and see it next summer as it's the location for the Lost Safari next July :D

The juxtaposition of those flowers in front of that mud hole is fantastic. Great photos. Thanks.
