Pro Comp X-Terrain 33x12.5-15 Pro Comp Lies.... Actual Measurement 32.50x11.5 with no weight mounted and full of air (18lbs) on the rim. I challenge you to find a tire that measures up to advertised height. I've only ever seen 2 Brands that stick to it TSL which usually come Bigger than advertised, and General Tire with the new GRABBER Red Letter tire which are also larger. With the Offset 15" rims my tires hit further out on the Flair at the top.

The true height greatly depends on what rim you put it on.The wider the rim the shorter it will be,the narrower the rim the higher it will be.

My 265/75R16 MT/R's measured 31.4" on a 8" wide rim and 31.7" on a 7" wide rim,both at 38 psi.

The TSLs actually don't stick to their size on the tire to the actual sized. Just went and measured my TSLs and they're supposed to be 31x12.5 but they are actually only 30.5x11.5 on a 15" tire with 30psi. The .5" may be from tread loss though, still doesn't explain the width.

The 12.5" is the section width, not tread width.

I found the Picture the Elusive rear wheel well shot.
Image

The tire is just hitting the front of the wheel well same as at the rear and top.

Even know where the section width is measured? You can't do it with a tape measure I can tell you that.

There is a limit to the statement that the wider the rim the taller the tire. That only works untill the rim is wider that the width of the tire. Look at the lowriders with 6 inch tires on 10 inch rims.

From sidewall to sidewall? When you mentioned 'tire section width' I googled it and what it told me that was was what I had measured.
I used two rulers and a tape measure...
