Here's a couple that even the dial-up users can enjoy.

Poor lighting, but shows the 1-1/2" lift in the front wheel well:

Same day, different angle:

My brother's friend has a motocross track on his property, so we tried out the lift there:

Another pic on the dirt bike track. Horses kept blocking this little hill. I should've taken a picture of them. :)

They ride and handle great, but they are pretty heavy, they do everything the stock goodyears did only 100 times better, they seem to take everything I throw at them, then chew it up and spit it back in my face, be it on or off road. Havent tested them in snow yet, but I have my fingers crossed for some soon.

LOL you can say you didnt mean to offend the guy, but you did, fact is, you are just a typical jeep guy who likes to bash on KJs because they are Not "REAL" jeeps.

Well I wheel my Kj and have a blast with it and I can load up my kid in there easy for daily driving, I love it.
This is a KJ site, if you want to talk crap about them, go to some jeep site where they are all about rock crawling and laugh at KJ's, you'll fit in there.

ok seriously now....i'm not one of those guys that says KJ's aren't "real" jeeps. i'll be honest.......KJ's aren't exactly my taste, but i don't have anything against them wheeling. yeah most people talk them down, and you do have to kinda admit that they are kind of the "odd-ball" because they haven't been around as long as the wranglers and cherokees. if i had a problem with KJ's, i wouldn't be hanging out on this site. i like the pics, and think that KJ's actually look pretty nice once they're set up. would i own one???.....no....i don't like independent suspension, and as of now they are still a little to expensive for me to bash around when i can get cherokees for nickles and dimes. but i have never given anybody crap for having one..........and yes i do see how my initial remark may have seen offensive, but i didn't mean it like that.

hey jeepjeepster.............that YJ does have leafs full around. they are wagoneer and cherokee leafs. that guy really knows how to setup some nice rigs, and knows all kinds of ways how to setup leaf springs so they flex better. he's actually given me pointers on improving the performance of my leaf springs that works so nicely that i can actually max out my front coil suspension and still keep up with my rear leaf springs. it's almost unreal what he can do with leaf springs.

anyways, back to the pics.

Jeger and Libar8r,

I LOVE the Grabbers. I initally had them on for my daily commute (44.5 miles each way) and as JeepJeepster can attest to, they really do affect the torque and gas mileage. I then decided to put them on sale, which I really didn't want to do. Soooo after not getting too much interest in them on sale, I've decided that I'm going to pick up some black Cragar Soft 8's and put the Grabbers on those! Makes me feel much better. I've heard they are AWESOME offroad, and can't wait to try them out. I totally loved them while they were on, and can't wait to put them back on with the Soft 8's!

Hey JJay,

What's your wheel spec's? I really like the wider stance where it sticks out like that. What's the size of the wheel (16x10?) backspacing, and offset. Also, what size tires are you running and do you have the standard 2.5" lift like everyone else? Any issues with turning or rubbing? I really want that wide stance and need to know the spec's.

Thanks bro!
Josh

Hiya mate,
No spacers, no rubbing just a custom made lift using OME parts and jeep mopar stuff. All up it's 4inch lift with no joint angle problem or upper arms rubbing the springs. Jeep guys worked a good solution...still Im buying Jeepin Al Upper arms next week.
My tires are Kumho all terrain Road VENTURE MT 15/10.5/31 !!! whats weird if you measure them and compare them to other tires they are slightly bigger then 32!! Anyways works great in desert

Check my page:

Nice pix, Jason.

Do 4.10 gears come standard in the CRD? Just curious.

Hey W3CSX,

For you ham radio install above the mirror, did you have to install the mirror lower, and is there a a plate or bracket in that area to drill into?

No I didn't move the mirror. There is sufficient flex in the arm to see under the gear.

Under the headliner there is a crossmember that the radios are bolted to. I added about a 1/2" spacer between the headliner and this support to take up the space in-between so you can tighten the radios down. Take out the map light assembly and you can see this support.

I should also note I made the radio's mounting bracket. The one from the factory was too long. It was definitely going to be the way of the mirror.

Some where on this board I did a write up on this install. I will see if I can find it.

Jason
