I slept in the back of my '05 this past weekend. Im only 5'8" and I still had to sleep diagonally. That and the seats dont fold down flat. Close but not flat. I slept alright but not great.

With the setup I have ( or had in mine) with the flip down area , I slept just fine, enough room with the passenger seat all the way up and my flip down extension laid out, Just enough, but if I sneezed I would of hit my head

I'm trying to figure out a way to 'soften' it up but it comes apart in four sections so I can stake it in the cargo area and put up my back seats when I'm not using the bed area.

Thats a pretty nice setup. I keep a coleman roll up air matress and a DC pump in jeep. Works out great for sleeping for 2 people 6' and shorter. Its actually more comfortable to sleep in the jeep then our real bed.

Thanks, I slept better in the KJ than I usually do in a tent with an air mattress. I'm glad I did this and am working on ways to improve it.

Speaking of air mattresses, I also own one but I just bought one of those self inflating kind. They are better than just a regular air mattress. Why? For one they offer insulation. A regular air mattress has no insulation so in cold weather it actually robs you of heat. The self inflating kind have a foam inner that has a high insulation value that actually keeps you warmer. Also, they are IMHO more comfortable and are easier to setup. The other thing i like is it doesn't push me up as high as my regular air mattress so i have more room above me in the jeep.

I was wondering about those. Do you have to store them flat or can you store them rolled up?

I have one for my flat bed area... It has a nozzle on it so when you deflate it and roll it up. It stays rolled up... No need for an extra bungee.. :D

Bought the screen and magnets and use a sheet lying around, grabbed the wife's sewing machine (yep, she made me do it my self!) and sewed the magnet into the border.

We'll have to set up a time to meet, I'd also like to check out where you went wheeling the other day.
