It's not really snow, but it's the closest we've gotten to the white stuff so far this year.

So there arent many pics with Duke (my jeeps name fyi), but if not for him we wouldnt have gotten here!
The road out there had been covered with snow and melted in the last few days, muddy as could be and a *#@(! to drive thru (lets just say NO traction!) But so worth it.
This is in between Flagstaff, AZ and the Grand Canyon.

im at around 20mpg hiway but I drive at a crawl since the swap (60 mph or less) with almost stock tire size at 60 im at 2200 rpm

yup. 4lo locked on all corners: not an inch of mouvement in any direction

now keep in mind this is no where near fresh powdery snow. its actually almost 2' of multi layer of snow and ice and I was driving on a layer of ice coverd with mabe 6'' of hard snow (you can see my footprints near the door I can walk on it and sink only 1' ) until it broke so on the pic I have a nice hole under each tire with pleny of snow under it. the tires cant reach solid ground

speaking of getting stuck in 4 wheel drive on flat surface. i had to pull my friend out in his 99 honda accord. he was in the park, pulled into a parking spot, pulled up to far and front tires slid into the grass, about 8" of snow. i go to pull him out, i tug him and my tires start spinnin, i try to back up to get another tug, and from the tires spinnin in 4, it turned the snowinto ice, and i was stuck! no forward or rearward movement! even with a locker in 4-lo. u cant do anything on ice!

so we unhooked the strap. i started spinnin the tires, and had my friend push my jeep in the rear to the SIDE and it slid over into the fresh snow and got traction lol. ended up givin him another yank at a different angle and pulled him right out

btw, looks good!love the lift! i love those BFG at's! looks tough!

That happened to me the other day too. (hey we have the same tires lol). Except i was driving in the ditch for fun where they pile the snow up. There was about 2 to 3 feet of snow piled up there and at first i just drove with 2 wheels in there and then decided to try all 4. Once i got in i could not get out because the ditch was sloped away from the road. I could go forwards and reverse but could not turn back onto the road. Then i finally got stuck and could not go anywhere. I got out by using my shovel and airing the tires down to 15 psi and by rocking the vehicle back and forth. This is where i think something like this would come in handy or snow chains.
