| Post subject: | Rustys lift and new tires |
Finally i figured out how to post pics. Here the liberty with rustys lift with stock tires.
These pics is her wearing her new shoes.
There is no rubbing except for the front air dam at full lock. I have no idea why is rubbing over there but it clears the pinch weld. |

Looks cool. I gotta find me a 05 or newer Renny front end for my Wifes KuJo of the same color, they look so good w/ the flat hood. |

Thats the reason I got a renegade. I have seen KJs with the flat hood but no fog lights. I have no idea what model that is. |

The rubbing on the air dam sucks. My facia is a little loose from "trail ouchies" and when it would rub it shook my facia almost off. I started by taking the air dam off first and then for some reason I kept cutting with the dremel.
My approach angle has be greatly increased and the down side a 1x1 wire loom full of wiring harness is pretty well exposed. Parakeet |

The flat hoods do look nice, don't they? If Jeep would have put the CRD in the Rene I would have it. Why Jeep? WHY? Maybe one day I will make that mod and have a flat hood, but there seem to be so many other things to spend me money on! I believe the flat-hood KJ made in 05 that did not have the center mount fog lights was the Rocky Mountain Edition. But I might be mistaken on that. I looked at the Rene and the Rocky in 05, but didn't really memorize anything because they didn't put the CRD in them. |

I have seen a lot of KJs out there with the flat hood but without fogs so I called the dealer up and they told me its the RME. |

They do a little, but at angles there is the occassional rub...I cut part of it away to help clearance. |

Mark I'm considering the Rusty's coil lift. Can you indulge me with a few details? Can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. Thanks, T.J. |

The rears dont take long at all maybe 20 mins each side. The fronts are a bit more tricky, alot of bolts needs to come. I got the struts put together at a local midas shop for 50 dollars. Rustys will give you a set of directions for you to follow and the torque specs. |

Thanks, T.J. not being sarcastic rusty's coil lift is great... by simplicity i meant it's just new coils and new shocks/struts... that's it... no spacers, no strut plates, no upper ball joint contacting the spring... no BS Mark p.s. no granted the rear shocks that come with the kit do suck, but that is easily resolved by no ordering them and getting the rancho 17004's |
