Those are some awesome pics. That third one would have been a shoe-in in this months rig of the month contest. Too bad you did get to submit it.

The splash in the first one was from the ocean. I was parked on a volcanic black sand beach. The ice you see is what is left of icebergs from a glacier about a mile from were I was. They break off spend about 5 years in a lagoon until th melt enough to go out to sea.

The third pic is at a waterfall named Skogafoss. I wish I would have made the trip a few weeks sooner so I could submit a pic. I am thinking of submitting one for th calender though.

I havn't been able to do much offroading yet. I can't find anyone to go with. Most of the places to offroad here are hours from anything so I don't want to break something and be stuck. I have only done pretty tame stuff. I am taking another trip over labor day and wil have a couple of 4X4 with me so I will try then.

Did you buy your KJ in Iceland, or was shipped there?

How are the dealers up there?

I am here in the military and bought it through a new car sales program for military members stationed overseas.

It was a very easy process. You get to select exactly what you want on it and they make it for you. It takes about three months or so to get it.

Fantastic pictures.
These are the first pictures I've ever seen of Iceland, it looks like a beautifull place.
Enjoy.

Something looks different about your front grill. Are you missing the little fog lights? I am going to look today but I thought that all 05 had at least the hole for the fog lights.

He has the Rocky Mountain edition. If I remember correctly, they have the Renny style fog lights.

The Rocky Mountain has the renegade-style hood and grill, but no fog lights. The only way to tell it apart from the renny is that and the fender flares being body-colored instead of the gray plastic (I think there are special seats in the RME, too)

Ah, thought they were an option.

You are correct.
The Rocky Mountain has the higher hood and grill, No fog lights, the light bar on top is an option. I didn't want it as I am going to mout lights on the roof basket anyway. The fender flares are body colored and dont have the bolts on them. The seats are different as well, they have JEEP embroidered in the seat back.
