well Got my brushguard on last night with my brackets i had to make so i had front tow points. now ill install the D ring next week.
Next is my Rack. Its coming along.. mounted lights that i also made still a bit rouph im hoping to anodize them before the moab trip if i have enough time.
got my Rock sliders installed and lift kit installed. Tires still rub on my 3 " lift i think i need spacers. I see other jeeps with 3" lift and looks taller than mine until i sit next to a stock liberty then Dang its up there.
so much to do so little time.. While im posting this im making brackets to fit my bumper jack and my shovel. |

thats lookin good. I like how the rack is coming along. The lift does look lower, specially with those big tires. I've always looked at the differences with the actual lifts. the franken looks huge compared to the skyjacker and rusty. I guess it is the extra spacers. But you're looking reall good so far. Good luck in Moab...wish i could be there!!!!!!!!! |

ya i just dont get it i wanted the highest lift i could find .. they told me it would settle after installed but its not nearly as high as i wanted. I did look and the rear can be a bit higher but the front CV joints are MAXED out. My rack has a long way to go but so far im happy. It just looks like a bunch of metal on top .. the front looks good so far but still havent hooked up the lights permanetly . Took me awhile to figure out the light reflection.. i tried copying the Geometry from some Bosch lights but Dang that didnt work at all. I then hit the gold mine Ill post some pictures of the lights on they are So Much brighter than my 8 inch KC lights and Smaller slim design. im going for a sleek look. alright back to installing some goodies. |

ok.. I have my infared camera mounted.. light bar made with the acception of the cover.. and half the lights in.. lets plugger in and see how she works... I just about blinded myself i had to look off to the side to take the pics.. WAY bright.. 8 100 watt bulbs.. 4 will be the Blue plasma style. 2 are clear 100 watt and 2 will be Yellow. Ill have all 3 types of light covered to make sure i can see.. I also made 2 seperate Geometry for different reflection. i have 2 narrow but both are different and 2 wide which are both different. This way i can get a full spectrum of coverage. i know sounds confusing but i Have a plan.. and so far it worked. later tonight ill back up and shine them on the concrete wall and see how well it covers and how far. |

thanks for the complement. My wife calls it industrial. .hey what can i say i work for an engineering firm. The pictures also dont do it justice.. it looks a bit more messy than it really is.. I have mounts on the side for shovel and Bumper Jack.. ill post pictures with those items mounted when i get some other things done. . when its done my goal is to have a super clean rack that has multi uses.. I plan to have front and rear cameras, front, rear and side light bars. mounting for Sking, offroad events and all my gear. Its all aluminum at the moment but plan to either powdercoat it or anodize it black and other colors on silver would look funny. I have 2 months into the light configuration and 3 revisions. One looked REALLY cool but didnt work so well. the light reflection was not right. Now i have a pretty blocky light bar much like the older police light bars. but it works incredibly well. all the light buckets are Hand sanded to a 1600 grid and then mirror polished. so its better than the chrome relectors you get in any standard offroad light. The Coverage is AWESOME. I only have the one side of 4 lights hooked up so far and it lights my entire 1/2 acre property like daylight. by next week ill have all lights hooked up and my poly carb covers installed. so im pretty much ready for Moab utah.. not sure if ill get to use the lights but im hoping so. The Camera Was installed specifically for the trip even though we plan to have a hi def camera as well. I can tell you i would have had alot of money into that rack if i had to pay for it but fortunate for me that it all time that i spent on my own and pieces of aluminum i pulled off of jobs so i was able to absorb some of the costs. out of pocket is about 150 bucks but there is easily 300-400 in aluminum and lots of time in drafting, programming, runtime changing the design 3 times and finally Hand work... I may still change somethings to make it look cleaner. |

Yes i did make the front tow brackets. There pretty rough there just prototypes to get placement and get the brushguard on at least for the trip. When i get back home from the trip ill finish up alot of things i started.. The Rack still needs alot of work but is functional right now. I wanted to get it all done before moab but i just dont have enough time. I have the shovel brackets completed and shovel mounted works great and will not come off unless i roll the vehicle . looks like it will come off but its locked in there pretty good. Camera works great. ill get some pictures taken later today |

coastal farmsupplies.. 17.50 the shackel is a 7/8 the gap is 1.5 inchs so wont fit over a 2inch square stock.. I can pick up more if people want them in moab. |

Do you have anything covering those bulbs? Its hard to tell.. How did you mount the bulbs in the reflector you made? |
