Hey guys, thought i'd share a couple pictures with you....i've waited all winter season for this canyon to thaw out and now i know why! unspoken beauty! I dont have too many pics up yet because i was on E, but that may change this weekend depending on whether or not how much snow dumps on us!

La Plata City was formed in 1887 in the boom of the mining era and continued growing more than 10 years after that. Prior to the Rio Grande coming to Durango, CO, creating the narrow gauge railroad between Silverton and Durango. In its hayday people in this high altitude mining city were subject to long runoff seasons and incredible winters! Can you tell i've been writing a lot of papers lately? Anyway, here are a few photos to tie you over...nice to be only 20 minutes from 4-wheeling

I love southwestern Colorado. That train ride between Durango and Silverton is a must if you ever make it that way. So is floating the upper part of the Animus river. You know you're in for a ride when they make you wear helmets. Anyways it's been too long since I've been to Durango. I gotta make a trip. Thanks for the pics.
