Threw it all in in one shot. Had to use my imagination compressing the spring enough to get the nut on the shock, and while installing the bumper. I'ts my wife's vehicle, can't wait to take it out, mine is the yellow 4runner in the background. Haven't finished hooking up her winch yet.

Awesome! Yeah the spring compressor is interesting. I'd hate to see that thing fly off the spring. Might leave a mark. |

Since I was working alone I had to find a way to compress the uncompressed portion of the spring 1/8 inch so I could get the nut started. Not much pressure was needed. Could have been done by hand if I had 4 arms. Same situation as these guys in this thread, they did it by hand, and they have the same compressor. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=19163[/img]

grandfather II,.....did you mean rockfather? which kit is the grandfather Thanks for pointing that out, have edited the subject body. Lots of trimming to fit the tires, the area of the pinch weld is completely flush and sealed with 3M seam sealer. Thanks for the comments on my rig(s). I rolled the 4runner over a year ago and have just finished a complete body swap. Was a lot of work. |

I had the lift and bumper and all for almost a year sitting in my garage, the 4runner build took up most of my time. We took the frame from the body donor 4runner, did a SAS to it, put an 83 Toyota pickup on it, dualtcases etc., was a lot of fun. Started from scratch, sand blasted both the frames and went from there. I'd SAS the Liberty but I don't think I can push my wife that far! |

I put up a link to the build on the na4wda site but not 4wheeler.ca yet. Wasn't looking forward to all the "nice grocery getter" comments from the peanut gallery so I haven't bothered yet. |

LOL, yeah, I was kinda thinkin the peanut gallery might get outta hand. You'll need to throw some action photos up there, show what the little guy can do. I think they tend to be a little underrated. |

I like what you've done to the Jeep. Those are some pretty cool picks of the build up. |
