Greetings all!

Well, I looked around for a bit and could find no place for formal introductions so I guess this will have to do... and what better way to do so than to introduce you to my Jeep.

It is an 04 Liberty that I have had since Dec 03. It is the 4WD variant with a 3.7L 5 speed manual, but at the time of these pictures the only modification was the OEM engine cooling kit and hitch (if you can call that a mod).

I know, I know, it is almost shameful to think that I have had it for so long and for all intents and purposes it has gone unmodified . It's just that, up until about a month ago, I was a Wisconsinite and the only four wheelin' going on there is muddin'. Now some folks might think mud is a fine medium to play around in but considering how it can get down in all the nooks and crannies you just can't seem to clean, where it dries and then creates an abrasive that'll wear your parts down, I avoid mud as much as possible.

So my KJ was, until recently, a stock version used to sherpa me and my gear to remote locations as often as possible but not tweaked for rock crawling by any means (trail rated indeed!?!). But all that is soon to change. Recently I have moved to Denver, CO and have already been beefing up my KJ. So far all the mods have been geared toward ramping the performance with a K&N air filter kit, Helix throttle body spacer, and the Jet chip and Borla exhaust are on the way.

Over the course of the winter I intend to put her on a lift (thinking about going with a RockFather II) and a set of BFG A/T 265/75s. Then there are the skid plates, an ARB bull bar (w/winch???) and probably 100 or more things I haven't even thought of... JEEP really does stand for Just Empty Every Pocket doesn't it?

Well, hope to see you on the trails...

Welcome and come visit us in LOST Rockies section of the Forum.

If you plan to wheel off-road in Colorado, get those skid plates and lift soonest.

A few of us are going off-roading this Sunday , but you might be too stock for that run. Skids are a must more than the lift, but the lift will lessen the hits on the skids and other body parts underneath.

By the way, there is a section for new members but this will bring you more exposure.
