Had some wheels painted and threw on these 265 75 16 ProComp MTs. Rock rails will go on this weekend when the weather warms up.

I was just bored one day at my daughters cheer leading practice and took them off but never did the Renny badges. I am just waiting until my rockrails are on then I will put them on the rails. Figure I wouldn't lose them if they were still on the Jeep. Thanks for the comments guys. |

I like the painted alloys. What kind of paint did you use? Can you summarize the process? |

I have a buddy who works in a body shop. He used some straight black paint on the whole wheel then sanded the lip with a die grinder then clear coated and buffed them. He never had done any wheels like that. He said if he ever does it again he will polish the lip first then mask it off then paint the wheel unmask and then clear coat the whole wheel. He used my other set of cactus green Renegade wheels as inspiration. here is one wheel up close

I was thinking of doing the same thing if not similar. But no one could actually help me out or show me what they might look like after words. This clears thing up. Below is the post when I was looking for info. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=18758&highlight= |

I'm thinking my factory steels would look pretty cool in gloss black, but I don't know if it would be worth the trouble and expense to properly prep and repaint. I got my eye on some 16x8 Procomp 7023's in matt finish to complement the fender flares and bumpers.

Yeah, ProComp actually has a few nice wheels for reasonable prices. I almost bought some but then ran across these wheels for 150 bucks and couldn't pass em up. |
