i finally got them! i love them! even though they have a whopping 2 miles on them lol. as soon as i pulled out of the parking lot, i noticed they were definitely stiffer than the paper thin/mushy SR-A's, but i love how they handle. and the tread in person is a lot deeper and more aggressive than any pics i have seen, definitely impressed me!!! they are 245-70-16, and touch just under the foglight door in the front and FULL lock, nothng to worry about. hope you like em!

i got them at Northfield Tire up here in well, northfield lol. im not sure if i overpayed or not, but this place has been in business since the 70's and i always get stuff done on my cars there when i cant do it myself, very good place and everybody is nice, very comfortable leaving my cars with them. the total with tax was 640. that includes free tire rotations every 5k miles, road hazard, im not sure exactly how the program works, but for 36months if anything is unfixable on the tire they replace it for free, and other stuff like that, i think free flat repairs also. not sure about free alignment. i know they used to when u buy tires. plus, even though tirerack has them for like 87 bucks each, you still pay for shipping and to have all 5 mounted and balanced, so i think everything price wise came out pretty good |

Pics look great. I'm glad you posted them since I'm thinking on getting the same tires and didn't know how I felt on the size, etc. Did you have any problems getting them mounted? I've read that the Generals have rim-protection beads that make using the clamp-on weights problematic (and thus people were switching to adhesive weights). Dan |

they didnt say they had any problem with the wieghts. and yea, i love that bead protector, its huge, but makes the tire look like it sticks out far from the rim and looks awesome |

Probably just on the limited wheels (not as deep a face as the renegades'). Are you running any kind of lift or is that stock suspension? Dan |

thanks for the compliments guys! thats stock suspension. i think im going to end up going with the BDS suspension. or the rustys coil, one of the 2, or even maybe the daystar 2.5" spacer lift, but probably one of the first 2. but might end up going with a tru-trac before that so i have time to decide what i really want. does anybody know where i can find that coleman rack/basket? i like that thing a lot |

Welcome to the club. Great tire, isn't it? Wait till you get them in the dirt. Big difference over wheeling stock tires. Air them down to 20 psi and let the games begin! A small lift will fix that rubbing. I have a Daystar 1.5" spacer under the front springs, and I never rub. Didn't want to mess with 75 series and have to deal with pinch weld, melting fender liner, etc. since this is my daily driver and I don't go 4-wheeling more than a few times a year. Good compromise. Every Jeep should come equipped with a tire at least this good if not better. |

same here, i didnt want to have to mess with my pinch weld. and i cant believe how just going up one size and getting a nice AT tire like this can change the appearance of the liberty. what you said, should have come like this from the factory! and same here, i dont go offroading THAT much to need a bigger tire |

lookin' goooooood Ray. These tires where my first choice, but in a 265/75 and down here in the dayton area,I would of had to wait 3 months or more for our tire supplier to get them.I could have gotten my size at cost for 86.00 a piece.and could have mounted and balanced free where I work. I chose the Cooper Discover ATR's and the quality is about the same.Your jeep looks good with them on there,I'll try to get Generals again when I wear these out. Ron |

Sweet pics. I've got the AT2's and Soft 8's just waiting to be mounted and balanced before being thrown on the Rene. Just want the nasty rubbing sound fixed that is described in my "pulling front driveshaft tomorrow" thread. Won't go into details of the problem here, since we'd be here just about all day. |
