Were you waiting long? The first stuck pic shows the sun is still up, then your being pulled out when the sun is down.

I would probably just roll down there and try to make my way up from another spot, since you lost grab in that first situation backing up was not an option, but was it so rough that you didn't consider rolling down there? I mean you needed someone anyway, try whatever you can do.

nah wasn't waiting long maybe 20 minutes...yeah i would have kept going down but it was private property and down below is a marshy culvert...so it would have been making a bad situation worse ya know. And as i threw it into reverse the jeep lurched forward another 2 feet or so

Well, good thing you got help quick, then. :)
Didn't they say "what are you taking a picture of? your accomplishment of getting a jeep stuck in dry road!?" :)

So you had to do some work to get those rims, eh?
Or was it because of the tires that you had to do trimming? I like those rims very much :)

haha yeah i probably wont ever stop hearing about this one...when in doubt always make a three point turn!

Now the rims are a 16x8 Boss Hoss by Pro Wheels that you can get at Discount Tire. Yeah make sure your pinchwelds are pounded down for sure and you do get some rubbing at full lock on the lower front valence of your jeep (the little black lip on the very bottom of your front bumper) so i cut the ends off on each side. Now i only get rubbing up front at full lock.

The reason for all the trimming is because the rims are made for Trucks and the tire technicians weren't sure how they would do on a vehicle that is designed to only take CAR type rims (Motegi, BBS) i dunno i think he was just full of hot air

I heard the same thing when I put LT tires on mine. Not that I have a lot of miles on them yet but, so far everything seems fine. I'd like to know who's telling them that it's only designed for "car" tires.
