A buddy called me up as I was running a rain slicked WMA trail this afternoon and said he'd stuck his brand new 1500 in a ditch.

I wheeled on over and found him high-centered in a wash wedged downhill on a large boulder.

We wound up strapping the rock and pulled it out of the way first.
Image
Then we pulled the truck down and out of the rut it was in.

Easy enough with the right equipment! :D

That bumper hangs soo low you'd think he'd just have bulldozed the boulder out of the way! Nice job!

Actually I used the ball mount with a shackle through the eye of a 6000lb strap and pulled both the rock and the stuck truck in a downhill direction.

This is an excellent link. It's also available in a printable pdf (see the bottom of the article.

Speaking of which, It would be really handy to have a page on the forum with useful links such as this one.

You guys in charge hear that?
