Finally finally finally I got my new lights mounted on my fairly new bumper. Since I hate having what everybody else has in town I went with the HID version of the KC's instead of the 150W daylighters. I cant really put it in words how bright they are, its pretty sick. Oh, and they are actually not real KC HID's. These lights are JUST like them though, but with a 50W HID kit in them. I got them from 45ALE.com with a 1 year warranty on all parts. As always, its almost impossible to show how bright they are with pictures. And at night and with the new KC light covers: |

HID's are just plan sick! I have the KC HID's and they will about blind you in the daylight, they hurt your eyes pretty bad at night just standing beside them trying to aim them.Mine throw a beam over a mile out! Looking good. |

Forgive my lack of knowledge, I have never done any aux lighting, but would this require any other elec. upgrades? battery, alt. etc.? |

No upgrades required, but you have to do some wiring. The total installation time was about 3 hours, pretty smooth. tjkj2002, Just like you said, they hurt your eyes in daylight and its difficult to aim them at night because they are SO BRIGHT! It is absolutely ridiculous. Do you have the 35W or 50W HID's? I think the original KC HID's come in 35W, dont they? |

$240 shipped, which is almost too good to be true. It has a 1 year warranty though and in case something breaks after that you can buy each component seperately and they are not expensive at all. |

Quote: tjkj2002, Yep 35 watts, here is the specs on all there HID's,I have the 6" round long range HID's(600,000 candle power each with only a 2.9 amp draw and barely any heat from them).Granted I paid more then you but the KC's have a 23 year warrenty,I'll pay the extra $$$ for that.

Oh and also, the guy converts any light you got to HID. So you could just send him whatever you got and let him upgrade it. |
