Personally haven't used it, but ATF+4 is what you need for your KJ or any other chrysler line at least the current ones. Don't know much about the older ones. |

well i find out this week if they fluid makes any diff from the factory stuff |

That ATF+4 is just fine to use for your tranny and tcase. Just make sure thats the right filter and be expected for it to be the wrong one. Seems like alot of people have a hard time getting the right one. Make sure you reuse the o-ring from the old tranny filter. Why do you have two different types of gear oil? Whats in the ACDelco box? |

I am going by what the manual calls for. It says use 75w-140 for the front and 75w-90 in the rear. I would have got the same brand but castrol had none in the 75w140 so i got the penzoil. the ac delco box is my platinum spark plugs |

I cant believe that oil has went up that much. I bought 20 quarts of Castrol SYN 75w-140 about 3 yrs ago for $60. Thats $3 per quart.. That should last me along time. ![]() |

tomorow mornin at 8 am the jeep goes in and i get it at the end of the day when i get off work. I have to make sure to tell them to use the o ring off the tranny filter. Should the shops know to use RTV when puttin the diff back together? This is a good shop, just never had a shop do this for my vehicles before. |

wouldn't hurt to give them a gentle reminder. |

yea yea lol. Well my stupid autoparts store doesnt even carry the filter for the 42rle. Is that not the stupidest thing? they carry the filter for the tranny offered only in the first year kjs but dont carry the one thats used in all the rest. |

I saw that too. RP failed badly up against the other bigboys...Mobil 1, Amsoil, etc. |
