I did quite a bit of trimming. I get minor rub at full lock. The only time I get alot of rubbing is in Reverse at full lock. When the nose dives in reverse it rubs quite a bit.

Tires are not the most popular tires.

Wild Country TXR aggressive tread and have worked wonders in Moab for me. I swear by them I have had the "name Brand" tires on my other trucks and I would buy these again.

Those look awesome. I'm looking for a tire that will fit on the stock renegade rims with no rubbing with a 2.5" lift and still look agressive like that .. any suggestions?


That's great that you found a "no name" brand too that works. I love finding quality stuff from companies that are not yet well known .. they work harder to produce a quality product and still have to charge less because of the name factor. Great idea.

Nomad - super lookin' truck. It looks like the closest dealership to me for those great looking tires is Utah. I guess I could ride up there, get'em mounted, and hit Moab before coming home.....sigh...dream

Thanks for the nice Comments.

I have both sway bars on. In Moab It rubs quite a bit while stuffed but nothing I have worried about yet. I have not popped off the fender flares yet but if pushed far enough I am sure I could do it.

Thats what I thought when I frist got them on. But take a look at a stock KJ the gap is not much different. The first time I ran Cane Creek and Hells Revenge stock I beat the Heck out of her. the botton of the front bumper is scratched to bits and the skids. Also Blew 2 tires (stock tires sucked bad).

I went back about 3 months later and had no problems at all on any of the same trails. I thought the rubbing of the tires was a southing sound compared to the sound of rocks scraping on everything everywhere. I cant find a side shot that is not on an angle of her New. I will find anewer pic in moab of the bigger ones stuffed

I actually didn't want the 265's because I was worried about the same things. After I got on the 245's I took her home and my wife thought it didn't fit with the lift (this is her daily driver). She did not think that they filled the well enough. So I thought I would take the opportunity to get a little more and deal with the rub and cutting. Knowing that I only wheel about 3x a year and will be going bigger when there is a good lift out there.

I also wanted as much clearance as I could get. I go wheeling with a bunch of cocky TJ and 4runner owners with about 10-30k in mods into each rig. They enjoy taking me on trails that they know I have no clearance for. But I will say the liberty has finally gained the respect of others. The first few times out they were asking who brought the Mini cooper.

So I would say to anyone wanting 265's do it if you are planning on going bigger in the future, and you dont mind a minor rub and some cutting. The trade off for me was well worth it. My gas mileage has dropped drastically and that sucks these days, but oh well whats the point of having it if I cant take it out and beat the crap out of her a few times a year. I love the extra clearance since I am not the best driver in the world.

I don't see how you can wheel with that big of a tire. My 245/75's rub on the front of the rear fenders every time I completely tuck a rear tire. Have you had the same problem?

I rub quite a bit in the Rear. I always air down quite a bit and it rubs like crazy. I know I will pop a fender flare off soon enough. But like I said earlier If I knew i was not going bigger later i would not have gone with 265's. 245's are the way to go for the long haul. But for me personally I dont mind putting up with it to get a little extra clearance. This next april I will beat the hell out of her on some tougher trails and see If what I can break. The more I break the sooner I get a new lift :)

Ground to bottom of Renegade rails 14.5"
Ground to top of (crappy bent Renne rail) 16.75"

Ground to lowest point (bottom of rear pumpkin) 9.25"

The 265s are not that bad in the rear. I have stuffed mine a few times but not that bad. It pays to have wider tires than the 245s sometimes, but I know guys who swear by 'em. I only get decent rubbin in the front. I can live with that though, plus my new wheels should solve that problem :D

Hey FL RENNY, I am runnin on the Skyjacker coil overs front and rear. I have had not ONE PROBLEM! I recommend this lift kit to anyone, but also look into the Frankenlift from All J products. From what I hear this is a super quality lift, most of the KJ guys I know run this kit. Do your research. Hope this helps.
